Purley Oaks Awarded Bronze Healthy Schools Award March 2022

The award recognises the part we play as a school in supporting London’s children to stay healthy and happy as they grow up.

We have been recognised because we encourage our children to lead a healthy lifestyle – to make healthy food choices at lunchtime, to be active at and on the way to school.  We also teach the children about their health, and develop their motivation and self respect to make healthy choices. We understand that when children are healthy and happy at school, they can achieve more.

Healthy Schools London is a new programme that will help schools to go further, and get more schools involved. The award scheme sponsored by the Mayor of London, recognises and celebrates schools that are making a difference for their pupils.
