School Meals

Studying hard and growing fast means children can often be hungry, so it is very important they eat regular nutritious meals.  Evidence shows that eating a healthy, nutritious meal at lunchtime has important health and educational benefits for children.  The meals can improve their diet and increase their concentration in lessons. The meals can also help children to develop healthy eating habits, improve social skills and can potentially decrease health inequalities.

Our school meals are currently provided by a company called Harrison Catering Services, who offer a highly appealing and tasty choice of dinners in line with our commitment to being a Healthy School.  All children have a choice of vegetarian, meat option or pasta/jacket potato as their main meal, plus a choice of dessert or fruit.  In addition, the children have access to a well-stocked salad bar and freshly baked bread every day.

PLEASE NOTE THAT WE REQUIRE ONE FULL WEEK’S NOTICE IF YOU WISH YOUR CHILD TO START OR STOP HAVING SCHOOL LUNCHES OR CHANGE YOUR SELECTED DAYS.

Please contact the school office if you have any questions, or would like to make changes to your child’s lunch arrangements.
