After School Club Playworker
Required: As soon as possible
Contract: 2 x Permanent Role, term time plus Inset days
Salary: Grade 3 – Scale point 5 to7, approximate pro rata salary: £13,363.51 to £13,771.38 (£27,030 to £27,855 full time equivalent)
We are looking for two enthusiastic, proactive and friendly playworkers to join our team to run our new after school provision – POPS Kids.
Purley Oaks is a very happy and thriving primary school. Our children are a pleasure to teach. In our previous OFSTED inspection (September 2019), when we were graded as ‘Good’, the inspectors commented, ‘Staff expect all pupils to work hard and be on their best behaviour at all times. We are looking for a person who:
• Has experience of working with children in a play, childcare, out of school or school setting.
• Has high expectations of themselves and the children with whom they work.
• Has a good understanding of how children learn and the role of play in children’s learning.
• Would be enthusiastic about supporting children before and after the school day.
• Is flexible.
• Would enjoy the challenge of working as a member of a team in a lively and supportive working environment.
• Will involve children in shaping services and making decisions – responding to their views.
• Has good communication and organisational skills. • Has a valid working visa/legal right to work in the UK
Purley Oaks Primary School is committed to safeguarding. The successful candidate will need an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check, evidence of right to work in the UK and two satisfactory references.
