Back to School Information – Monday 7th September 2020

Dear parents and carers,

Please find below a summary of the re-opening plans for Monday 7th September:

General Information:

  • Pupils and staff will operate within class, year group and corridor bubbles
  • Parent and carers will not be allowed into the school building, but are allowed into the playground
  • Masks do not need to be worn by pupils in school
  • School uniform is compulsory
  • Individual resources (pen, pencil, rubber, tissues etc) will be provided for each pupil
  • If you need to speak to the school office you must telephone them on: 020 8688 4268
  • Pupils may bring in a water bottle
  • Only one parent or carer must drop off and collect their child to minimise on site numbers
  • Teacher led clubs will not run. Holiplay offer an after school provision at a cost of £12.50 per day (bookable directly with Holiplay)
  • Breakfast club will operate. Bookings are made via Weduc and payable in advance only

Start Times (please see attached map for correct entrances):

  • Nursery and Year 1 use the Children’s Centre entrance at the top of Bynes Road
  • Reception use the entrance on Bynes Road which leads into their playground
  • Years 2, 3 and 4 use the entrance by the staff car park on Bynes Road
  • Years 5 and 6 use the Rolleston Road entrance and stay at top of playground
  • Children in Years 1 and 2 and in class 3G are to go straight into class from 8.30am
  • Years 3 – 6 line up with class teachers

Finish Times:

  • After the settling in period, morning Nursery finishes at 11.40am, afternoon Nursery finishes at 2.50pm – staff will send your child out to you
  • After the settling in period, Reception finishes at 3.00pm – staff will bring children out to you (weather permitting, otherwise come to classroom door)
  • Year 1 finishes at 3.00pm – staff will send your child out to you
  • Year 2 finish at 2.50pm – staff will send your child out to you
  • Years 3 – 6 finish at 3.05pm – staff will bring the children down to the playground
  • Parents and carers of children in Years 3 and 4 are asked to remain behind the barriers – staff will send your child to you
  • 3G – staff will send your child out to you
  • 6W will finish at 3.10pm – staff will bring children to the playground and send them over to you
  • Children in Years 5 and 6 who have permission to go home alone will leave the school via the Rolleston Road entrance/exit and are asked to travel straight home

Late Collections:

  • For the present, there will be NO ‘lates’ bookings
  • Children who are late collected will remain in their corridor bubbles. The parent/carer will have to speak to the office through the intercom system by the street gate to the main office and then the child will be brought out to you. You will be charged for ‘lates’ in the usual manner via Weduc

Children displaying symptoms of Covid-19:

  • Children will be isolated in an area next to the main hall
  • Parents and carers will be telephoned immediately to come and collect their child
  • It is then imperative that you and your child are tested and you inform the school immediately of the result
