Year 4 Trip to Lullingston Villa
Year 4 had an amazing day learning about Roman Lullingstone villa. The villa was built in about AD 100 and developed to suit the tastes and beliefs of successive wealthy owners, reaching its peak of luxury in the mid-4th century.
As part of their trip Year 4 viewed the spectacular mosaics and prints of the rare wall paintings, a heated bath-suite and a ‘house-church’. They also watched a special light show that brought the villa to life, as well as viewing Lullingston's fascinating collection of Roman artefacts.
